Privacy Policy

AcePrep (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you join our waitlist or use the AcePrep app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By joining the waitlist or using AcePrep, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Waitlist signup. When you join the AcePrep waitlist, we collect your email address, your platform preference (Android, iOS, or both), and optionally your first name and how you heard about us. This information is submitted through our form provider (Formspree) and used solely to notify you about AcePrep's launch and early-access updates.

App account information. Once you create an AcePrep account, we collect your email address and the credentials needed to authenticate your account securely.

Study content. To provide step-by-step solutions, examiner-style marking, and quizzes, AcePrep processes the questions, answers, and images you submit — including photos of past-paper questions or your own written answers.

Usage & progress data. We store your quiz attempts, scores, saved questions, and topic-level performance so we can track your progress and personalize Smart Review and analytics.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed directly by Stripe. AcePrep does not store your full card details on its own servers.

AcePrep uses AI models (via OpenAI or Azure OpenAI) to generate answers, mark student work, and produce quiz questions. Content you submit — such as a typed question or a photo of a past-paper question or answer — is sent to these providers via a secure API solely to generate the requested educational response. It is not used by AcePrep or by our AI providers to train public foundational models.

Every generated answer, mark, or quiz question is grounded in our indexed Cambridge syllabus content and past-paper material. If the underlying material can't support a reliable response, AcePrep is designed to decline rather than guess.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the AcePrep app
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Generate answers, marking, and quizzes grounded in verified exam content
• Track your study progress and personalize Smart Review and analytics
• Send you waitlist updates, launch notifications, and important account or service communications
• Process subscription payments via Stripe

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate AcePrep — for example, our AI providers (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI) for generating responses, Stripe for payment processing, our cloud hosting and storage providers, and our email and waitlist-form providers. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf.

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active, so your history, saved questions, and progress remain available to you. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app's settings, or by emailing support@aceprepai.com. Waitlist entries can be removed on request the same way.

AcePrep is designed for students preparing for Cambridge O Level and A Level examinations, who are typically teenagers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of AcePrep after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
